There will be a number of southern sprinters heading north to contest the Doomben 10,000 this Saturday at Doomben Racecourse.
Probably the standout name is that of Peter and Paul trained Mazu who is looking for a maiden Group 1 title that could further improve the juveniles credentials for an Everest slot in October.
The Snowden’s also have stable mate, Signoire Fox nominated for the Brisbane Group 1 contest however it’s likely that he will remain in New South Wales and attempt to tackle the Luskin Star Stakes at Scone Instead.
Other nominated runners for the Doomben 10,000 include Count De Rupee who won the Group 2 Victory Stakes this weekend passed with a weaving run and head bob late to claim the title for the Price stable.
Kementari has also been nominated for the Doomben 10,000 and will clash once again with Count De Rupee after the pair ran the quinella in the Hall Mark Stakes earlier in the season. However Godolphin could still send there veteran sprinter south to contest the Goodwood in Adelaide as a preferred option.
An interesting entrant is Entriviere who will be flying the flag for the Kiwi’s. New Zealand had success in the race in 2019 when The Bostonian won the race in impressive fashion.
Baller, Vega One and Isotope are the most noticeable names for the locals however connections are likely to wait on the weather forecast before fully committing Isotope to the run.
