Berry believes his knowledge and race track experience will take the Waller trained Kiku close to victory come Saturday.
The Waller trained mare has already had one look at the Eagle Farm track in the Magic Millions National Classic where she was able to win over the 1600m contest.
“It’s a big plus having a run on that Eagle Farm track, especially with how firm it can get, and she’s done that and come away with a win,” Berry said.
The two previous winners of the race, Tofane and Invincibella both came into the race having won there previous assignments and now Berry is out to do the same with Kiku.
“Chris (Waller) drops them back in trip in a lot of these sort of races, you look at his runners in the Doncaster Mile and stuff like that, he runs them over 2000 metres before dropping back to a mile,” Berry said.
“It makes sure they’re rock hard fit. Group 1s are high pressure races so it means they’re ready for the occasion and she will be no different.”
The daughter of Zoustar currently sits on the third line of betting for the Tatts Tiara alongside Magic Millions winner Away Game.
Race favourite King Of Sparta currently sits as a clear $2.80 market leader and Berry believes he is ready to go having ridden him in two recent trials.
“His two trials have been good, I’ve been very happy with him and he’s definitely well above average as you saw when he won the Magic Millions,” Berry said.
“The key to him is drawing well so you can put him wherever you like and from five he’s going to get a really nice run in transit.
“He’s got a powerful turn of foot and goes great on top of the ground so I think he’s going to be really hard to beat on Saturday.”
