Home Affairs picked up exactly where he left off last campaign with an easy run out at Warwick Farm while Verry Elleegant also made the most of the easy conditions cruising through her hit out.
One of Waller’s stars of last spring and winner of the Coolmore Stud Stakes, Home Affairs, ran in complete cruise control throughout his trial as the Group One winning juvenile won his 800m trial in the Harbour Citys West with ease.
The star son of I Am Invincible was hard held by jockey Jay Ford when clocking 49.06 seconds (last 600m in 34.96) for the gallop.
Also featuring in the trial was The Invitation winner Icebath who made up good ground towards the end of the trial to finish within three quarters of a length off the winner.
Maximal, who is the half brother to racing great Frankel finished just off the pace in third.
The darling of last Spring Carnival and winner of the Melbourne Cup Verry Elleegant was never touched during her trial at Warwick Farm when just over four lengths off fellow Group One winner Think It Over and Duais.
Verry Elleegant is on course for what could be her final Australian prep which is expected to kick off with a run in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes in February.
