Nash Rawiller suspended
Rawiller went to the top of the Jockey’s Premiership with two wins on Saturdays Metro card but found himself in hot water with the stewards at the end of the race day after being cited for careless riding in the final race of the day.
In the final race of the day Rawiller was aboard Godolphin trained Legio Tan but in the run to the line, he allowed the son of Exosphere to shift his line inward and forced Dylan Gibbons to stop riding Smashing Eagle and avoid the Cummings trained runner.
In a relatively quick process, Rawiller pleaded guilty to the charge of careless riding and admitted that he allowed his mount to shift into the rightful running lan of Smashing Eagle.
"I throw my hands up," Rawiller said during proceedings.
With Chief Steward Railton telling Rawiller, “Your record is not helpful’ before handing out a 4 meeting suspension as punishment for the incident.
Rawillers suspension will come into effect after next weekends The Ingham meeting at Randwick.
The suspension will mean that the Premiership leading jockey will now miss Wyong Magic Millions day on Wednesday and return to the saddle on December the 16th.
Despite landing him in hot water Legio Ten was the second of Rawillers wins on Saturday having earlier claimed victory aboard Toesonthenose.
Those victories took Rawiller two wins clear of Tyler Schiller in the Sydney’s Jockeys premiership which he’ll now need given his upcoming suspension.
