Firmly heading into the midst of winter racing at Randwick and Caulfield this weekend with the Sir John Monash Stakes headlining the day down in Melbourne and the rain expected in Sydney headlining the day north of the border

Horse Racing Tips for Randwick And Caulfield

More rain is expected around the Randwick  area before the first on Saturday making the track likely to play in the high soft to heavy range. Melbourne is expected to stay in the soft range after rain earlier in the week.

Randwick Race 6 - The Bopper - $3.90

Interesting race here with the Hulk installed as favourite for the race but we’ve seen to many seconds from him in recent races to back him again.

The Bopper has trialled well recently and has decent first-up form. The Kris Lees trained runner has raced and beat better fields than this on worse conditions as well.

Randwick Race 7 - Ashim - $8

Interesting import here with a lot to like about his first up run on the heavy at Rosehil after being out for 8 months.

Ran at $51 that day and looked to have ability when coming home late. The extra distance looks like it could suit and draws well to get a good look in the home straight.

Back Ashim each way

Caulfield Race 2 - Deep Speed - $2.45

Resumes here for the McEvoy stable and under the ride of Jamie Kah you’d be expecting a returning Deep Speed to be controlling the race in front and hold off the field.

A few talented runners here but the bias of the track has been favouring the front runners in recent weeks and all the signs map to see Deep Speed to go for these.

Back Deep Speed to win
