Theres been a spot of rain in the Gold Coast region in the lead up to the Magic Millions Festival so the track looks to be playing in the Soft 4 range.
Gold Coast - Race 2 - Wheelhouse $2.60
Super trainer Chris Waller and jockey Larry Cassidy changed the fortunes of Wheelhouse last time out when a new race plan saw the 4 year old produce a barn storming run to win The Wave last weekend.
If he can replicate that run again with jockey Tommy Berry onboard the gelding should be beating these and moving on to bigger things.
Back Wheelhouse to win.
Gold Coast - Race 7 - Coolangatta - $2.25
Maher and Eustace have seemed to have a knack with 2-year olds in recent years and it looks like Coolangatta will be another one after two impressive wins in the Gimcrack and BJ Mclachlan Stakes in her first two starts.
On paper it looks like Coolangattas to lose as she should cover the ground and with jockey James McDonald onboard an added bonus.
Back Coolangatta to win.
Gold Coast - Race 8 - I Am Lethal
Had been in great form leading up to the Magic Millions 3yo Guineas winning his past two starts by over 2 lengths.
Was right in the betting at the start of the week but drifted to $7.50 after drawing the car park in barrier 21. Can overcome the wide barrier and should be competitive.
Back I Am Lethal Each Way.
