A former member of the Shadwell Stud ownership portfolio, Aysar will now race on behalf of Leneva Park Bloodstock and a number of other syndicate owners.
Aysar will remain with the Lindsay Park training team, now made up of Ben and JD Hayes, who will also join the ownership syndicate.
The 4 year old chestnut stallion will kick off his Spring campaign for the new connections when racing in the Aurie’s Star Handicap over 1200m on Saturday.
Aysar has won two of his nine starts to date and ran almost exclusively at Group level after his last win in September. He was on able to conquer the mountain however did run a notable 4 runner up spots by less than a length or more.
Most notable of those runs was an impressive second to the Hawkes trained Ole Kirk in the $2m Caulfield Guineas.
Speaking with RSN 927 Ben Hayes said they may restrict Aysar purely to sprinting this prep.
“He’s come back fantastic, I can’t fault him,” Hayes said.
“He’s a lovely big horse now, he’s really matured and definitely strengthened.
“And I think it’ll be an interesting thing down the straight the first time, because we are flirting with the idea of maybe keeping him more as a sprinter, not stretching him out to a mile, this prep.
“So to see him down the straight the very first time will be interesting on Saturday.”
Top Melbourne hoop Jamie Kah is booked to ride the 4 year old on Saturday.
