Geelong Racing Club
The first official annual Geelong race meeting was conducted on the 29th February and 1 March 1844 after restructuring the course that was one and a half miles and 300 yards.
The Geelong Cup run each year in October at the Geelong Racecourse is one of the most progressive races in Australasia, and has emerged as the key form reference to the Melbourne Cup.
The Geelong Racing Club employs 16 full time staff to run all operations of the racing club. Racing Carnivals
