Waikouaiti Racecourse is home to Waikouaiti Racing Club.
Waikouaiti Racecourse is located approximately 30 kms north of Dunedin and is a popular coastal resort. Located adjacent to State Highway 1 Oamaru-Dunedin, on the east side of Waikouaiti Township.
There is an old grandstand at Waikouaiti which is considered one of the character grandstands of the South Island. It provides “head on” viewing down the front straight.
The courses greatest asset is a hill that runs the length of 400 metre finishing straight. This has been a popular picnickers location for over 100 years.
