Last week's results went 2 from three with Over Exposure winning at Flemington, Roheryn placing on the Gold Coast The Bopper being a significant flopper on the day.
First up we take a look at Randwick which is expected to be a Good 4 in running.
Randwick - Race 6 - Sacramento
The Gai Waterhouse runner has improved each time out this prep after coming 3rd over 1800 metres first up and winning over the same distance next time out. Goes up 2.5kgs this time out compared with New Arrangement who stays at the same weight after going down to Sacramento last time out.
Third up the 4yo Gelding should be ready to go and the extra weight shouldn’t stop him from jumping to the front and prove to good for this field.
Bet - Sacramento to win
Randwick - Race 7 - Ulysses
Has been going really well this prep placing first up over 1100m and then winning 2 from his last 3 starts over 1300m and 1500m.
Last start made every post a winning one leading from the gate and giving nothing else a look. Like Sacramento we don’t see an issue with the weight rise with this field being no stronger than last start.
Should enjoy the dry conditions after having the last few starts on wet tracks.
Bet - Ulysses to win
Sandown - Race 5 - Quantum Mechanic
Didn’t show much in her resumption at Caulfield in December but put on a showing next time out in Flemington finishing second behind Fundraiser.
It was a booming run that day where the Mick Price runner came from almost last to go down by a nose. The big strack suits and gets a much better barrier this time out jumping from 3 rather than 10.
Should have too much on these.
Quantum Mechanic to win
