Jockeys and trainers have there own opinions about the Eagle Farm track after its renovations however the track looks set to play a Good 4 on Saturday with no bias for front runners or back makers projected.
Eagle Farm Race 1 - Profit - $4
We’re going with the first up runner here coming into the race fresh. Showed nicely in a trial the other day and the booking of James McDonald looks to be a positive indicator as well.
Last prep the Gelding had good form lines around The Harrovian, who went on to contest Group 1 races, as well as placing behind Alligator Blood when there was something amiss.
Looks set to go close here first up.
Back Profit to win
Eagle Farm Race 3 - Ayrton - $1.60
An extremely competitive Fred Best Classic with the likes of Aim, Midland and Exoboom set to line up, however it would be hard to see any of them landing a glove on Mick Price and Michael Kent jr trained Ayrton.
Came back in impressive form earlier in May and has been set for this to gain qualification for the Stradbroke where he currently sits as favourite.
Has won 3 from 3 by a total distance of over 12 lengths and can’t see any of this field stopping him going 4 from 4 and adding to that total.
Back Ayrton to win.
Eagle Farm Race 7 - Explosive Jack - $2.60
Chasing his fourth Derby win after winning the Tasmanian Derby, ATC Derby and most recently the South Australian Derby where he defeated the field by 2.5 lengths.
The Maher and Eustace runner looks hard to beat at set weight conditions and his form looks hard to overturn for this field.
Back Explosive Jack to win
