Racing on both tracks looks to be playing in the soft to good range with Randwick expected to dry out slightly by the jump of the first.
Randwick Race 3 - Herman Hesse - $3.20
Is carrying top weight but with the apprentice claim should be right in the mix here and with form that's hard to fault should go close.
Most recently he came second for the Maher and Eustace stable in the Listed Christmas Cup over the same track and distance and looks set to replicate the same here.
Back Herman Hesse to win
Randwick Race 7 - Dragonstone - $2.50
Another one with strong form here who takes the apprentice claim. Won one and a second and was placed when third up last time.
The Newnham stable has this guy firing at the moment and third up should be going close again with the claim and middle barrier.
Back Dragonstone to win
Flemington Race 8 - Lighthouse - $2.30
A horse with American connections the big grey has been going well in lower grade company winning three from three starts this prep.
The breeding suggests there is still better to come and Has beaten most of these already in his last few starts and looks ready to make it four from four.
