A trip to The Everest could be on the cards for the winner of The Moir Stakes this Friday Night if any of the 14 strong nominations can put on a show for the remaining potential suitors.
Nature Strip was the victor in 2019 edition of the race before going on to finish fourth in the worlds richest turf race.
A field of 14 will assemble this Friday for the 1100m sprint with the remaining slot holders having an eye firmly fixed on events at The Valley.
One runner close to the conversations for the remaining Everest spots is former Singapore Sprinter The Inferno. Trainer Cliff Brown insists that his runner is up to the Grade after swooping late to win the Group 2 McEwen Stakes.
On that occasion The Inferno proved t0o much for fellow Moir Stakes entrant Portland Sky and the fast finishing September Run.
The much anticipated return of Profiteer is also expected in the race with the juvenile not being seen since going two from four in starts during his breakout season.
Last years runner up, Trekking, returns for another crack at the race after finishing runner up to Pippie in the 2020 edition of the race.
Trainer Chris Waller once again has a strong hand in the race with Ranch Hand and Shaquero lining up alongside stablemate and previously mentioned September Run.
Top two year old Enthaar is nominated for the race but likely to miss out, opting for other race options in the coming weeks.
