Melbourne Cup favourite, Incentivise will need to be on top of his game this coming weekend as the recently relocated distance runner will be going up against 14 previous Group 1 winners in the Makybe Diva Stakes as he looks to extend his unbeaten run.
Incentivise has won his last 6 starts, winning at maiden grade all the way through to a complete demolition job in the Group 3 Tattersall's Cup in Queensland.
The Cup favourite is now with trainer Peter Moody and will be having his first run for the new stable as they plan long term assaults on the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup.
Making up the rest of the field we have 14 Group 1 winners that include 2020 W.S Cox Plate winner Sir Dragonet, Victoria Derby winner Johnny Get Angry and 2019 Melbourne Cup winner, Vow and Declare.
Annabel Neasham will once again be sending out Mo’unga on the hunt for further Group 1 glory after the youngster defeated the older horses to win the Winx Stakes last month.
Mo'unga has opened the $4 favourite with TAB in their all-in market, from Inspirational Girl and Tofane (both $6), Aegon ($8), Incentivise and Keiai Nautique (both $11).
Once again one to watch will be the Matt Smith trained Keiai Nautique who is a Group 1 winner in Japan and comes down-under with big expectations.
Smith won the Makybe Diva Stakes 12 months ago when another Japanese galloper named Fierce Impact won the race for the Warwick Farm based trainer.
