Jamie Kah to return to competition at Sandown...
Top jockey Jamie Kah will make her riding return on Wednesday when she jumps back in the saddle at Sandown.
Kah has a total of 4 rides on the day including 3 for the training partnership of Ciaron Maher and David Eustace at the Wednesday metro meeting.
Last years Premiership winning jockey hadn’t ridden in Australia since just after Stradbroke Handicap day where she left for the Northern Hemisphere to enjoy the summer sun.
Kah will return to the action in race 4 at Sandown Hillside on Wednesday and is currently sat as a $2.90 favourite with TAB aboard Pacific Ruby to jump straight back into the winners enclosure.
The record breaking premiership winner will then ride the $8 chance Bubbly Lass in the Become and MRC Member Handicap (1400m) and the $14 shot The Awesome Son in the Blended Bets Handicap (1800m).
The South Australian will then round out her first day back in the saddle with a ride on Turn On The Charm who currently sits as a $9 chance for The Big Screen Company Handicap over 1400m.
Kah will be keen to get back to winning ways after already riding 50 metro winners this season. Before her break to Europe Kah was in strong form winning a number of black type races in Queensland as well as the Adelaide Cup in her home state.
Kah remains 23 races behind Jye McNeil in this seasons jockeys premiership having missed a large part of the season due to breaching covid protocols.
