The Sydney Autumn Carnival will come to a close on Saturday with a field of 13 assembled for the Group 1 Group 1 All Aged Stakes over the 1400m at Randwick.
Fresh off their success together in the Doncaster Mile Jamie Kah will once again ride for the Godolphin aboard Cascadian. The Melbourne-based jockey will pilot the Godolphin runner looking for further Group 1 success after her maiden black type victory two weeks ago.
James Cummings also has two other runners in the race with last start winner Savatiano and Kementari in the race. Chris Waller is the only other multi runner accepter with Kolding and Imaging lining up for the Rosehill based trainer.
Runner up in the TJ Smith Stakes and a horse with huge interest is Masked Crusader who drew wide in Wednesday’s barrier draw. Team Hawkes were critical of the ride Kerrin McEvoy made on there runner and he has subsequently been replaced by Tommy Berry to jump from slot 12 under top weight.
Masked Crusader currently sits top in the order of betting as $2.80 favourite with Cascadian, Savatiano and Tagaloa the only other runners in single figures.
The second Group 1 on the card is the $500,000 Champagne Stakes over 1600m for 2 year olds.
