Cox Plate Day Tips and Best Bets

With decent racing conditions the track is set to play in the Good 4 range and as always, the Moonee Valley track favours on pace runners. 

Moonee Valley Race 2 - Starry Legend - $2.80

A lot to like about the John Sadler horse here who looks to get everything to suit with the draw and the rest of the field. 

Should run on pace and comes into the race in good form. Could be a good early bank builder at the price.

Moonee Valley Race 3 - Robodira - $3.80

There only seems to be two in the betting here and it's hard to split New York Baby from the John O’Shea trained Robodira but we’re liking Beaver’s pick of Robodira.

Struggled to get a run last time out and with James McDonald onboard and a gate to suit this time she maps well to be swooping late.

Moonee Valley Race 5 - Elephant - $2.30

Elephant looks to have the run of the race here for the Browne stable from across the ditch. 

Likely to sit just off Buffalo River in front and peel out late to steam roll over the top. Looks to be a bet of the day here in the Crystal Mile.
