After the barrier draw on Tuesday Enthaar drifter from $2.10 out to $2.30 with TAB after drawing barrier 14 in a field of 16.
The 2yo old filly wasn’t alone in her drift though as second favourite for the race Anamore also drew wide with barrier 15.
As a result of the wide draw Anamore for the Godolphin stable moved from $8 to $9 in the market.
There was one notable improver however in General Beau who’s price moved from $11 into $9 as a result of securing a jump from barrier 3. The General has been in impressive form of late winning the prelude under current Victorian Jockeys Championship leader Jamie Kah.
One runner to watch in betting will be Cindy Alderson trained Jigsaw. The 2yo colt covered a ton of ground in the Blue Diamond Prelude behind General Beau before finishing just off the winner in 3rd.
Jigsaw jumped out wide that day and lines up in barrier 4 this time around and right next door to General Beau. The Alderson runner has already seen his price move from $17 into $15 with some bookies.
The Blue Diamond Stakes is one of 3 Group 1 races to be run on Saturday with the sprint feature of the Oakleigh Plate and Futurity stakes over 1400m completing the Group 1 trifecta on the day.
Barrier draws for the Oakleigh and Futurity will take place on Wednesday.
