The Bob Peters owned Arcadia Queen may have run her last race as she was ruled out of action this weekend and scans are set to decide the Group 1 winners fate on Wednesday after new injury concerns

The extent of Arcadia Queens latest injuries haven’t been disclosed however they are deemed significant enough to rule the mare out of this weekends Group 2 Emancipation Stakes after the news broke on Tuesday evening.

A daughter of Pierro, Arcadia Queen was nominated for the 1500m feature at Rosehill on Saturday as a lead up to the Group 1 Queen of the Turf during the Championships at Rosehill

Journalist Jay Rooney for the West Australian Newspaper reported that the three time Group 1 winner would undergo the scans on Wednesday where the outcome would ultimately decide the future of the Grant and Alana Williams trained runner.

We don’t have to look too far back in Arcadia Queen's career to find previous issues with health after she was sensationally scratched from the $5m All Star Mile on the day of the race after presenting lame.

With the Western Australian’s goal to compete in the world's Richest Mile Race Arcadia Queen was given a new target with the Queen of the Turf seen preferable to the longer Queen Elizabeth Stakes over 2000m.

Last season Bob Peters elected to miss the entire of the Autumn racing campaign after a poor showing under Chris Waller the year before.

That decision proved decisive after returning to her best under the tutelage of long term trainers Grant and Alana Williams and won the Group 1 Caulfield Stakes and Mackinnon Stakes during the Spring.

Hopefully we get to see the Western Australian back on the track however scans on Wednesday will likely seal her fate and decisions on the rest of her Autumn campaign made soon after.
