Waller Awaits Vet Report on Yes Yes Yes

Let’s see.

Should we take the Lamborghini to the office today, or shall we send it to the detail shop for a shine and drive the Ferrari instead?

This is somewhat analogous to the inner workings of the mind of Chris Waller, whose stables are filled with the fastest horses in Australia.

Apologies to the other trainers, but when the connections look for the best stable to prepare their investments, many flock to Waller.

Thus, when Waller was unable to give a jump out to his star sprinter Yes Yes Yes, he turned to other strategies.

Yes Yes Yes missed a raceday gallop at Randwick when it was discovered that the colt had heat in his near fore leg. He will receive comprehensive supervision from the vets and must be declared fit before he will be allowed to compete in the Group 1 Lightning Stakes alongside stablemate Nature Strip at Flemington on February 15.

Waller turned his attention to his best filly, Funstar.

He is moving her ahead in order to give her some preparation and racing before she faces Jamie Richards’ Probabeel.

“I might go to the Light Fingers. That horse from New Zealand, Probabeel, will probably be there (Surround) and she’ll be pretty forward,” Waller said.

Waller also has Kings Will Dream ready to go, with a scheduled trial, followed by the Group 1 C F Orr Stakes (1400 m, w.f.a.) at Caulfield, the first Group 1 race of 2020.

Kings Will Dream won the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes past spring. Waller spoke of his plans for the horse.

“He’s come back really well. He had a good prep last time in and won a Group One race,” Waller said.”He will probably start his prep in Melbourne then come back up to Sydney for races like the Ranvet and Queen Elizabeth,” Waller continued in his remarks published by the AAP.
