Capitalist Favoured In Magic Millions 2yo Classic
The already formidable Capitalist has gotten even better as he prepares for the upcoming 1200m Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast turf Club.
Capitalist stands every chance of becoming the first favourite to win the race since Testa Rossa in 1999.
He was priced recently at $1.70 and that could shorten more provided he does not draw a wide barrier or have to deal with a wet track.
His main rival, Zelady’s Night Out, despite a victory in the BJ McLachlan Stakes, trails in the odds at $6, even though her connections feel as though barrier draw and track conditions are not critical. Trainer Tony Gollan views Zelady’s Night Out as his best chance to win the Magic Millions.
Capitalist cruised to an easy three-length victory 17 December when he raced in the Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic. His preparation has Peter and Paul Snowden exuding optimism. It is planned for Capitalist to run an 850m barrier trial before flying off to Gold Coast in time for the 9 January race day.
Peter Snowden feels that Capitalist in underpriced for a two-year-old with two starts to his credit, and he will also have Mooshakissa and Niccolance in the Millions
