Black Book From Racing On 23/4/16 – Watch Form
Bantry Bay (Race 3, Caulfield)
This import was terrific on his Aussie debut for Lloyd Williams. He made a very early move at the top of the straight and wanting to hang but was still there at the finish boxing on for second. He was no match for Raw Impulse but he looks destined for Group racing. These classy imports often jump out of the ground after a campaign here so keep a very close eye on him next time around. Especially with prior form around the likes of Bondi Beach.
Oh So Unfair (Race 4, Rosehill)
Most punters will be ruing the defeat of Galaxy Warrior as an odds on pop in the race but The Wolf’s eye was more drawn to the run of Goulburn-based youngster Oh So Unfair from an impossible spot back in the field. Jason Collett scraped the paint and despite running out of room on several occasions he really picked up late to savage the line. He’s flying, relishing the mile trip and should be winning next start.
Top Of My List (Race 5, Rosehill)
Tipping this will prove to be THE form race for the staying races for fillies over the Queensland winter carnival. Imposing Lass made it three wins on the trot, recording another tough win but the run of Top Of My List was a cracker. Out of High Chaparral and Beauty Watch, she’s bred to get a trip. Chandana and Falkenberg are still on track for longer races but this filly jumps to the front of the Queensland Oaks queue now.
