Tamworth Racecourse has a track circumference of 1830 metres and a home straight being 360 metres long. The track is approx 21 metres wide throughout.
The track is fully grassed with kikuyu and some natural grass. The turn from the 800 metres into the straight is banked to 3% adding to safety and providing outside horses with equal opportunity.
The Tamworth Jockey Club is home to 130 racehorses who use the facilities on a full time basis. The club has 5 tracks; a dirt track, a trotting track, two grass tracks and a cinders track; the B grass and the course proper which see over 150 horses worked each morning.
