Casino Racecourse, the first race meeting was held in 1854. It has been trust managed and administered by Casino Council since 1994.
The club was one of the first to hold TAB/SKY channel meetings.
Casino race club hosts 13 meetings per year and the main 2 are the Carlton Casino Gold Cup in August and ANZDL Beef Week Cup in May.

The Casino Racecourse has a 1600 metres circumference, the track runs in a clockwise position and has a home straight being 400 meters long.
Horses have an advantage if drawn inside as it can be difficult to win if wide from the 1000 metre mark. The course falls away out wide. The Casino racecourse is excellent for sprint horses over distances of 1000 metres, 1200 metres, and 1400 meters.
