Woodville Racecourse is home to Woodville-Pahiatua Racing Club (Inc).
Woodville and Pahiatua were separate Racing Clubs until they amalgamated in 1986. The club now has members from all over with the central districts including Woodville, Pahiatua and Dannevirke.
The Woodville Racecourse is nestled below the Tararua and Ruahine ranges with windmills standing as sentinels, which has made Woodville "The Windmill Capital of New Zealand".
Woodville is a Junction town, with Manawatu, Wairarapa & Hawke's Bay being on our borders.
Coming through the gorge from Manawatu, or up from Masterton or traveling down from Hawke's Bay you just come to the intersection to all these places.
The intersection being Vogel Street with McLean Street. Turn (north) up McLean Street and travel approx 2km to town boundary and there is the Racecourse.

Woodville Cup Day - Woodville Racecourse
Normally held on the first Saturday after New Year.
Many ex-locals who have come home for New Year attend, making it a great day for catching up with family and friends.
Being summer, there is entertainment on course for the children with an old fashion lolly scramble, later in the day.
The Woodville-Pahiatua Racing Club races several times a year at the Woodville Racecourse.
