Wanganui Racecourse

Wanganui Racecourse has been home to the Wanganui Jockey Club since 1848 and as such they are the oldest racing club in New Zealand still operating on the original land. Free $200 Bet

The racing surface of Wanganui Racecourse is a sand-based 1700 metre track offering a very good year-round racing surface, and offers excellent viewing from all levels.

Wanganui Racecourse is located on Purnell Street, 2kms from the central business district. Easily found from all main roads into Wanganui.

Wanganui Guineas and Wanganui Fillies Stakes - Early September both these races have Listed status and provide top three year old racing in the early part of the season.
