Te Kupenga Racecourse, home to the Wairoa Racing Club holds its annual two day meeting in February. Free $200 Bet

Wairoa RC claims to be 'country racing at its best'. It is small, intimate with great facilities and a friendly picnic atmosphere.

Te Kupenga Racecourse is situated towards Frasertown, through the town of Wairoa itself.

The annual 2 day meeting ss one of the highlights of the calendar year drawing large crowds form from Wairoa, Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay.

Thursday is a great family day out in the country, local hospitality at an original country course.

Then Sunday sees racing go up a notch for the Wairoa Cup. If you haven’t experienced the uniqueness of racing at Wairoa you don’t know what you are missing!
