The Rosehill Guineas is an Australian Group 1 horse race for three-year-olds at set weights.

The Rosehill Guineas is contested over a distance of 2000 metres at Rosehill Racecourse in Sydney at March annually.

Prize money for the Rosehill Guineas is worth $500,000.

It is held during Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival. The Sydney Carnival, which runs from February until the end of April each year. It is operated by the Sydney Turf Club.

The race is also the most significant lead-up race to the premier three-year-old event of the Autumn Carnival, the Group 1 AJC Australian Derby (2400m) held two weeks later.

This Rosehill Guineas - AJC Australian Derby duo, the last horse to succeed in both races was Eremein in 2005.

The Rosehill Guineas was first run in 1910, won by Electric Wire, and was originally classed as a Principal race. It was elevated to Group 1 status in 1980 when the famous Kingston Town, who had over 20 Group 1 wins throughout his racing career including two Melbourne Cup victories in 1981 and 1982, triumphed.

Back in 1929 Australia's most celebrated race horse, Phar Lap, launched his spectacular career with a win in the Rosehill Guineas.

The 2010 Rosehill Guineas was won by Zabrasive from Rock Classic with Run For Naara third.
