The Caulfied Autumn Classic is a Group 2 Australian horse race held under open set weight conditions for horses aged 3 years.

It is contested over a distance of 1800m at the Caulfield Racecourse.

Prize money for the Caulfield Autumn Classic is $175,000.

This Group 2 race is held in late February early March each year as part of the autumn racing season. Taking place on the same day as the Group one Futurity Stakes, the Caulfied Autumn Classic is the second race of the day.

The Caulfield Autumn Classic has had 7 names to be exact, but every few years reverts back to its most common name, the Caulfield Autumn Classic.

First won by Lord Gavin in 1957, the Caulfield Autumn Classic has been an 1800m event since 1987. Starting out as a Principal race until 1978, the event became a Listed race in 1979 until 1989 when it was elevated to Group 3 status. In 1991 it finally became a Group 2 race.

The 2010 winner was Extra Zero, with Absolute Fith running second and Money Rocks 3rd.
