The Rough Habit Plate takes place on the offical first meeting of the Brisbane Racing Club's Winter Carnival, BTC Cup Day. The highlight is the $400,000 Group 1 BTC Cup (1200m) and the third Group race feature at the meeting is the $100,000 Group 3 Chairman's Handicap (2020m).

2011 Rough Habit Plate

No blinkers and a change of jockey did the trick for Fillydelphia who had been in ordinary form in the lead-up to this race. The filly had a comfortable midfield run for most of the race before moving into overdrive in the straight and clearing away to win by nearly three lengths with Hour Of Peril and Chateau Fort fighting it out for the minor placings.
