2250 metres: Starts in the home straight on the course proper and runners have just over 200 metres before the first sharp turn. Because of the short straight run at the start and then negotiating a sharp turn an inside barrier is an advantage.
-
2400 metres: Located at the top of the home straight, there is a straight run of approximately 300 metres before negotiating a sharp turn. Even though this is a race for stayers, inside barriers are a distinct advantage.
