Te Teko racecourse is home to the Whakatane Racing Club who hosts two country race meetings a year in January and May.
Via State Highway 30 from Rotorua, traveling past the lakes and on to the Rangitaiki Plains turning left in to Grieve Rd just 5 km before the township of Te Teko. OR Traveling down the Pacific Coast Highway from Tauranga turning right and following the signs from Matata (turning right at Awaiti Rd, left onto Otakiri Rd right down Grieve Rd)
