New Zealand Cup Week -
Arguably the greatest week of racing in New Zealand featuring 9 Group and
Listed races. The 1st and 3rd day are two of only five Premier meetings held in
the South Island each year. The meeting becomes the focal point of spring
racing with the very best 3 year-olds traveling to Christchurch seeking to
emulate some of the greats of the Australasian turf by winning either the New
Zealand 2000 or 1000 Guineas.
